\| 29.10.2007 This power supply unit works well and does exactly what it is supposed to do! The amount of heat it generates is quite acceptable even under heavy duty, I use it to feed a Commell LV-677 dual core mainborad equipped with an INTEL CoreDuo T2400 1,83Ghz CPU, 1 GB RAM and a Wireless LAN Mini-PCI card. I never had overheating problems even if everything is packed into a VoomPC-2 case (very tight installation). This unit perfectly fits into the VoomPC-2 case and the mounting is easy if you follow the instructions. The function to save your car battery cutting the power when it's voltage goes under around 11.3 volts works very well and is something you can trust! The capability to resist to power loss when you turn the engine on is reliable though when the battery is not fully charged, I could not measure the voltage during engine crank but, for example, after a 30 minutes stop with parking lights and PC on, it can fail (not always, not often, just sometime). Not really a flaw but could be improved. This is why I give 4 stars instead of 5. What I miss ? It would be very useful if you could program the working mode by software instead of having to open the case and move some dip switch, but so far this is something that every other power supply misses for what I know.
