Note : With latest Intel boards you will not need this replacement heatsink because the height has been reduced by Intel already.
With this replacement heatsink for the Intel D945GCLF and D945GCLF2, D201GLY, D201GLY2A Mini-ITX mainboard you get enabled to use the mainboard also in ITX enclosures where the original heatsink has prevented an intgeration.

Optimal für die Atom-Platform geeignet. Ich habe den Kühler für das Intel D945GCLF2 gekauft gehabt, da man diesen Kühler beim Vorgängermodell brauchte. Beim neuen Modell wird dieser eigentlich nicht mehr benötigt. Ich verwende den Kühler aber trotzdem zusammen mit einem leisen 60mm Kühler und bin super mit dieser Kombination zufrieden. Auf jeden Fall ausreichend leistungsfähig!

Don't understand why the Intel D945GCLF with integrated ATOM CPU needs such a big cooling device especially because the ATOM CPU is much more energy efficient. I plan to build a computer with an extension boerd which would not fit if the original cooling wasn't replaced. I also want to recommend the manual created by CARTFT on how to replace the original heatsink with this replacement.
