VoomPC-2 car PC enclosure

The voomPC(TM) automotive (car, boat, electric cart) enclosure is a small, rugged car PC (carputer) enclosure designed to work in harsh enviroments such as dust and high temperatures. Made our of massive 5.5mm extruded aluminum profile, the voomPC(TM) car PC (carputer) encloure was designed to work with any type of mini-ITX motherboard (170x170mm) from fanless configurations such as VIA mini-ITX or Pentium or low power Pentium-M processors, making it the ideal car PC solution. This car PC / carputer enclosure is specifically designed to work with the M1-ATX or M2-ATX car PC automotive power supply series, sold separately, scroll below for more information.

The VoomPC-2 car PC (carputer) enclosure can take a SlimCD drive and a 2.5" drive.

At the front there are 2x USB ports and 2x RCA Audio connectors.

hi i had paid a voom pc 1 for the first time was second hand but this has much more .i attached on this enclosure a hdd sata 3 portable excellent man.i'm glad to met the cartft online ....thanks cartft

Bin mit dem Gehäuse zufrieden, habe aber doch ein paar Kritikpunkte.
Habe erwartete, das der Anschluß für den Tft eine Kupplung im Gehäuse (Rückwand) ist. Wenn es dass ist, was ich denke, ist es ein einfaches Kabel mit einem Rundstecker (wie Netzteil) dran.
Das Blech, dass die Aufnahme für die Festplatte ist, hat nach oben noch Platz, was es schwierig bei meinem Zotac Board machte die darunter laufenden ITX Stromkabel unterzubringen. Die Lösung lag drain alle Kabel optimal zu kürzen und das Blech für die Festplatte herauszusägen und nach oben abgewinkelt an der Frontplatte wieder anzuschrauben. Hierdurch steht die Festlpatte oben mit der Kante am Gehäuse an, was aber nichts macht. Das Problem scheint mir aber nur bei ITX Anschluß unter dem Halteblech zu bestehen.
Was wiklich schade ist, sind die beiden 40 auf 20 mmm Lüfter, die extrem laut sind. Einer von beiden ist zusätzlich unwuchtig. Ich werde sie gegen 40er auf 10er silence Gummigelagert austauschen. Dadurch ist auch mehr Platz zum verschrauben.
Über dem Prozessor/Grafik Kühlkörper sind maximal 15mm Luft für einen weiteren Lüfter. Der beiliegende 20mm hohe Lüfter (Zotac) ist nicht einbaubar.
Eine Zusammenbaubeschreibung liegt nicht bei.
Bei mehrmaliger Demontage, brechen die Haltenasen der ansonsten guten Kunststoffblende ab.
Die Verarbeitung ist gut und das Gehäuse massiv, wie bei Autoverstärkern stranggegossen.

Super CarPC-Gehäuse! Ideal für den gebrauch mit einem M3-ATX als Netzteil... Außerdem sehr einfach zu verbauen, der Adapter für die Stromversorgung eines TFT´s ist einfach und praktisch! Außerdem kann man dieses Gehäuse einfach unter dem Sitz bzw. unter dem Handschuhfach verbauen! Genügend Platz für ein Slimlaufwerk und einer 2.5 Zoll HDD (Lüfter auch vorhanden).

Kurz gefasst TOP Produkt (jedoch könnte der Preis evtl. etwas angepasst werden...)
