This TFT monitor is connected to a Windows PC USB connector. The display is working as an additional display which can be added to the main display area on the left, right, upper or lower. Alternatively it can mirror the primary screen. The display can be swiveled in steps of 90°.
In addition, the UM-740 model comes with touchscreen and a microphone. It also has an earphone-output, which gets connected to the PC.

Ich habe mir für den Monitor eine Halterung für die Frontscheibe gebaut und schließe ihn während der Fahrt an einen Laptop an. So kann man DVD schauen (der Beifahrer) oder seine Zusatzinstrumente immer im Blickfeld halten, ohne auf den Laptop schauen zu müssen.
Die Bildqualität und -übertragungsrate sind top. DVD's werden weder verzögernd, noch ruckelnd ausgegeben.
Einen Punkt Abzug für den Fuß. Ich nutze ihn zwar nicht, aber für Nutzer dürfte es ziehmlich nervig sein, dass bei jedem berühren des Touchscreens der monitor etwas federt. Drag&Drop ist ohne "festhalten" des Monitors nahezu unmöglich.

Ich bin sehr zufrieden mit diesem Monitor. Einfache Installation, selbsterklärende Software, sehr gutes Preis- Leistungsverhältnis.Zur Installation wird ein 2. Monitor benötigt, ist alles fertig installiert und eingerichtet kann der Touchscreen alleine betrieben werden. Kaufentscheidend für mich war, das das Display kein extra Netzteil braucht, es bezieht seinen Strom mit über den USB-Anschluß. Das Anschlusskabel ist enthalten. Mit im Lieferumfang sind 2 Audiokabel, Handbuch und alle notwendigen Treiber auf CD.Das Display gibt alle Farben sehr gut wieder, mit der Auflösung und Darstellung bin ich auch sehr zufrieden.Die Optik und Verarbeitung ist sehr gut. Einzigstes Manko ist beim bedienen des Touchscreens, der Standfuß ist zu kippelig, berührt man das Display etwas zu heftig kippt die ganze Geschichte um. Vorteil vom Standfuß und Display ist, das es um 90 grad gedreht werden kann, und per Einstellung über Software auch senkrecht verwendet werden kann. Genial gelöst!!!Von mir bekommt dieses Display eine klare Kaufempfehlung.

Der Monitor läuft problemlos an einem Mac mini (Intel). Ein zweiter Monitor ist nur für die Einrichtungsphase notwendig, danach startet er allein und versorgt sich aus dem USB-Port (ein Anschluss reicht). Webcam und Micro funktionieren ebenfalls am Mac mini auch mit Skype. Für die Touchscreen-Funktionalität benötigt der MAC leider einen kostenpflichtigen Treiber. Bei der Darstellung von Graphiken treten vereinzelt Fehler auf, DVD-Wiedergabe funktioniert (bei mir?) nicht, aber i-Tunes oder MediaCentral laufen.
It is exactly as described. I was planning on employing the touchscreen exclusively as a side-screen for Flight Simulator FMC, and it serves its purpose wonderfully.
